MØ - Don't Wanna Dance (Zimmer Remix)Ігор Хомин, 13.07.15 10:45AM
Zimmer’s so-called ‘horizontal disco’ sound has found many a comfortable fit since hitting the radar some three years ago. His latest extension comes in the form of a remodel for Mø, pairing the Danish songstress with one of the most criminally overlooked Parisian contenders of the indie dance crop right now. Held against previous original cut “Galapagos” and his own rendition of Moulineaux’s “To Be Clear,” Zimmer’s take on “Don’t Wanna Dance” marks a more commercially accessible strand of his studio prowess tailored seemingly towards the summer evenings ahead.
While warm melodic progressions and nostalgically charged organs have the French talents name written all over them, the task of bringing such a vivid pop offering into his own demeanor sees him respectfully tread around the unmistakable vocal assets of Karen Marie Ørsted. We still haven’t sussed the true meaning of ‘horizontal disco,’ but there is nothing flat about the energy Zimmer is bringing to the European talent pool here in 2014.
